My current job at a nonprofit isn’t right for me, but things are decent enough that I can afford to take my time. I’m trying to stay within the nonprofit space but move out of my current type of work, which has been challenging. I made it past the initial screen and submitted the first compensated exercise last week.

I am working for a nonprofit organization where I have been for the past five years. I don’t feel like my work is bad enough to get fired over, but it’s enough to lower my self esteem and I have had to work so hard to compensate for not being properly trained on things that I am responsible for. It’s so discouraging.

I’m currently hiring for an entry-level role at a nonprofit. I think it is generally understood that this question is meant to give associates a space to ask for a raise, or otherwise negotiate compensation, if they choose to. Complicating matters is that this nonprofit receives federal funding. Is this too many interviews?
